The plexiglass complanionway slide is badly cracked on my H34 (83) and the epoxy repair isnt holding. Can I replace this without removing the sea hood? I was thinking that maybe I could cut a notch on the front of either side of the slide grove, pull the old slide out, and then re-glass the notch when I replace the new one. Possible, or is there something back under the hood that will prevent the slide from coming out? thanks for any help

I doubt that you can replace it without removing the seahood. It would be a good thing to make a permanent repair if you do this. You can put a plug in the forward end of the tracks that support the companionway slide so water does no leak inside the boat.

It may be a very big job doing it properly, but considering the cost of the material, you may as well to it correctly the first time.
