Replacing the rigging.

Hi Steve
I have been quoted £850 by a rigger in North Wales for replacing all the standing rigging on Vagrant. This seems rather steep. It includes the cost of hiring a crane just for this one job!
Can I buy a set of rigging from VAGB? If so, how much does it cost? I've never replaced the rigging before. Can it be done piece by piece with the mast still standing?

Hi David, the info\'s dated but it might help:-
we had Spring Fever\'s rigging replaced in 2002 by Glaslyn Marine in Porthmadog, and whilst I paid for the mast lifting seperately, they did uprate the size to 6mm all around and charged me about £450; even allowing for craneage and inflation 850 beer vouchers seems a bit pricey.
 
They did a good job too, Glaslyn\'s details are on t\'interweb (Yahooed chandlery+porthmadog) the blokes called David something, he might be worth contacting for a quote..
