Replacing the connection to Clutch Handle

I am new to this forum. Last week, I bought my first boat ever (a Catalina 320). Over the weekend, the bolt holding the Clutch Handle broke while docking and the bolt got stuck in. I tried using an easy out but the easy out broke in the drilled hole.

I am trying to see if I can find a spare of that part. I am not even sure what it is called. Here is a photo:

There is Edson A 918 written on it, I checked Edson's marine website, they do have a spare Clutch Handle but cannot find any reference to above part.

Any suggestions?

I'd try a machine shop, if they can't remove it they can drill it out and retap.

maybe start by calling/emailing edison. i had some issues with the clutch handle/cable. needed a couple of replacement screws. just emailed and they not only quickly responded but also sent with no charge.

I had the exact same thing occur a day ago. The mounting screw sheared right off and the easy-out broke off flush when I tried to remove it. I have e-mailed Edson and I'm hoping for a Monday morning reply.

In the meantime, I am dealing with the root cause of this problem. My clutch and throttle controls always required a little muscle so I never knew any different. Now I realize the clutch was almost seized where it goes through the plastic sleeve. To make matters worse, the head popped off the adjusting screw so I cannot get the shaft out as you did! I am working in some WD-40.

I may end up at a machine shop to get both screws removed.

Can anyone tell me why the throttle control side has a removable bolt (presumably for lubrication) while the clutch side does not?

Edson got back to me with the part number which is # 960-A-938 available @ $51.00 which includes a new bushing and bolt. I could not find the part online so I was told to phone in my order. It's now on the way.
