broke a 20" one-piece Schaefer stanchion. All I can find are the two-piece Schaefer(base plus post), with a 26" post.I am planning on cutting down the post. Anyone had experience or a better idea? Thanks

Nate, if all else fails, go to www.topsinquality.com. They make anything in stainless you want, and can duplicate it from one of your good ones. Lots of people in these forums have mentioned them and have been very satisfied with their servive, quality, and even pricing.
