Replacing/Repairing Hatches 1981 Hunter 27'

Had some damage to a few of our hatches during Milton. Wondering what the best way is to go about getting prices to repair or replace them. FEMA and SBA certainly aren't making this process easy, we're hoping the community here can offer some guidance. Please, any help would be tremendously appreciated. My profile photo is the boat we live in, before the damage from Milton.

Welcome to the site and my condolences on your run in with Milton

I wouldn't think FEMA or SBA would know WHAT ports and hatches are let alone a source for them.

The good news is, depending on the brand of hatches and ports you're looking for, most of them don't seem to have changed too much over the years.

1. Determine the make, model, and size you're looking for. Make and model are usually lightly cast into the acrylic lens or stamped into the aluminum frame.

2. If you can't find the make and model you need, search the archives here for the owner's manual for your boat. They often list the hatches and ports by name.

3. Some companies do supply repair parts for their products.

4. Search the web of marine suppliers for deals.

Good luck with your searches.

Two of the items you show in your post are "Port Lights", not hatches.
The first pic you posted is a hatch.
They were manufactured by Bomar. They are still in business.
I'm not sure the models you need are still available new but...
This site had a sale on new/old stock port lights that were on Catalinas that are the same that Hunter put on their old boats. I don't know how to find the link or if any are still avaiable.
Perhaps the moderator could post it in this thread?
Good Luck!

The portlights in your last 2 pictures look like they are Beckson, measure them for size. They used to be the least expensive of replacement lens but that may no longer be true. They are the easiest to replace I believe.
