Replacing Reading Lights

Need the secret to remove light as pictured w/ new LED UNIT.

I just did the same thing. The bulb just pulls straight out. You need small fingers and need to wiggle it back and forth while pulling it out.

I found LED replacement bulbs for these lights at Lowes. Less than 10.00 each for warm white.

The lamp is not the problem, still works! The fixture broke away from the base. I have not been able to remove the fixture from the bulkhead.

Figured it out. Grab the base and twist counterclockwise and twist about 20 degrees



Be careful when reinstalling to get the switch where you want it.

Does anyone know where to buy replacement fixtures? The bulb was not seated properly, got to close to the side and melted the interior log the light fixture.

That fixture was made by Marinco, who discontinued all of their marine lights some years ago. We haven't been able to find any leftover inventory or a knockoff fixture.

Any tips on how to disassemble the light fixture? One of the wires came off and I can't figure out how to open the fixture and reattach it to the bulb receptacle.
