Hi there all, We just purchased a 30' 1979 Hunter sailboat that needs a bit of work. On that list of work is included replacing all 9 (!) of the leaking plastic portholes on the boat. However, I'm finding it really hard to find plastic replacements. Beckson makes the 5x12 and 7x14's, but I also need two 8x18" and don't know where to get them. Suggestions and help here would be great. Thanks, Aaron Norlund AaronNorlund@hotmail.com

tired question

You can find the answer to your question in the archives. Do a search under portlights. Gray made the original, but Bomar has them now. Sailnet had them at one time. West Marine can order them for you. The HOW chandlery has Beckson that would probably be a better port and as reasonably priced as you might find. IMHO If this doens't help and you don't find the answer in the archives, ask the question again. Next time ask where to buy cheap Bomar portlights.

Try Pompanette

Aaron, it appears that most plastic hatches used on older Hunters were made by Gray. Replacement parts may be ordered from the company that bought gray. Here is the link to their website.

Yay!

Thank you all for your help. I did do a couple of searches in the beginning but didn't find too much as I thought they were called portholes, not port lights. Bomar makes a specific line of port lights called "Gray series replacements" which is exactly what I need. Once again, thank you for your help! Aaron Norlund
