Does any one have info on replacing the Outhaul line on a 1990 Hunter 33.5. I believe that the one that is in there now was replaced in 1999 by PO and is a straight thur line, but it is bound up somehow.

most outhauls have at least a 2:1 purchase and most hunters have the boom end of the outhaul line you actually pull on attached inside the boom. Probably at the gooseneck. Yes it requires taking off the gooseneck from the boom proper.

I did this on my 94 33.5 two years ago- there is a very good how to in the archives- I don't remember the full process but it wasn't hard nothing was removed except perhaps for a fitting at the end of the boom for access to the internal block system check the archives (it was a 33.5 the guy did it on)
