Replacing outhaul in Selden boom

The outhaul on my 450 Passage frayed and broke inside the boom. Does the outhaul line run straight through the boom, or does is it run through internal hardware?

I was able to shine a very bright light down the boom and determine the outhaul is a straight run down the boom. I ran a fishtape through, pulled the outhaul through, and am back in sailing mode.
