replacing motor mounts

Maine Sail, i read your thread on replacing motor mounts and have a question (only one so far - i haven't started the actual work!) - can I jack up the motor with the shaft still coupled to the motor?
(I have a 1981 Cherubini Hunter 33 with a 2GM20F Yanmar)

No.. The coupling needs to be free of the engine to do this.
