Nice write-up
I’ve been through all of this a few times.
I’ve used the 795 extensively, but switched over to Sikaflex on the last go around. The Sikaflex actually has a primer as well, which helps with bonding.
I found on one project that the 795 just wasn’t firm enough, and did leak. It depends if there is flexing underneath it.
I agree that 795 is excellent on flat surfaces, but my forward windshields were quite curved. The 795 didn’t bond as well as the Sikaflex and primer under these conditions
Really appreciated your excellent documentation.

Amazing writeup. Thanks for posting it.

I rebed both forward windows (they are very large) on my 44AC with Dow 795 with excellent results. They were leaking in the same place that yours were.

Great write up, I had done one of my side windows last year. Did not think about using the spacers. Had a heck of a time keeping the plexiglass in place waiting for it to cure. I like the idea of the spacers. I will be doing them all this spring.

My 2003 44DS side windows starting leaking this year - but all I had been able to find on the web were instructions on removing the frames of windows that don't look like ours do. The frame to hull joint does not leak, its where the insert meets the frame that does. Great post!
