Replacing hot water heater in Hunter Legend 30 t -1991

I've been trying to remove the hot water heater from it's storage area to replace it . It seems to be stuck under the seat and I cannot remove the panel , see picture in attachment. Does anyone have a suggestions how to remove the panel from under the 45 degree section underwich the panel seems to be stuck.
I could remove the panelling (teack) but it would damage it

Rem, I've got similar situations on my boat ('97 H376) and found that if I remove the screws holding the white paneling (all around the edges), with a little wiggling it slid right out from under the paneling.

You have to "work" it a little but it can be removed without damaging the paneling.
