Replacing Hatachi 35 amp with Balmar 70D

I have replaced my stock Hatachi 35amp on my 1983 34' with a Balmar 70D. Anyone who has done same, what do you do with the 2 wires that plug into the back of the Hatachi for the idiot light? One goes to the switch for the new regulator, but how do you hook the other one up so the idiot light still works? Balmar is of no help.

Guess what?

There is no provision on the Balmar units for an idiot light. They basically assume you will use Link meter or something.
