My Universal 25XP starts and runs fine, but the engine is 24 years old, Do you replace the glow plugs, just because they are old? If so, do you need to remove the air intake to replace them?

If it starts & runs fine..... If it starts slowly and with a lot of smoke or unburned fuel you could have a bad glow plug or two.. They take about 5 minutes to replace once you've cross referenced them and found replacements...... A lot of glow plugs are destroyed by folks pressing them button too long, and burning them out, but if she starts fine you are probably okay........
