Replacing Gimbal propane Stove

I'm replacing the gimballed stove, the boat is 30 years old and I'd like something shiny, new and functional. Any suggestions on brand? We're mostly day cruiser/racers. Occasional weekenders. There don't seem to be many choices of brands, styles or sizes online. The current 2 burner oven size is ( 20.5" W X 14" D X 20" H ) I have a few inches around the stove for a bigger one. Any suggestions or advice is appreciated?

My boat has a Force 10 W20 x L20 x H21.5 that fits in a space W23.5 x L31 x H26. It is gimballed port/starboard. If we are pitching fore/aft, the conditions are too rough to cook.

The force 10 looks solid, and the brand familiar on lots of boats. Eno has a wood handle that looks nice, if I go butane that could cascade to removal of other heavy items on the boat that are not of major importance. (like my brother-in-law)

If you start stripping the boat, you will kill the resale potential and value.

Butane doesn't work when it is cold below 40F or 50F. Found this out this winter.

Exactly. Take every opportunity to replace something on the boat to make the boat better, not cheaper.

Well given the requisites in a likely order of importance, "shiny ,new and functional" I would go for the cheapest. Now seriously, we would need to know the fuel being used right now and the intended use as far as cooking in your day sail/races. There are options for gimbaled (basically needed by cruisers)or non gimbaled, with oven or no ovens (have seen many oven which were never used) , alcohol or propane. I'm not a racer but have not heard of many cooking meals during an event. I think for day sailing a non gimbaled two burner stove with no oven is more than adequate and the space for the oven can be used for shelves. If the boat has propane a propane stove would be adequate but if it does not I would use a non-pressurized alcohol stove. If the Admiral is a baker then a stove with an oven would be appropriate but for daysailing it would be more comfortable to bake at home and just carry the goods aboard. Your boat your choice. Force 10 is an excellent recommendation. Perhaps not as shinny but definitely very functional.

The stove is gimbaled, propane, top works..but the oven doesn't work, wife would like to bake occasionally, we currently use it mostly for heating water for french press, reheating stuff, ect. We have 3 kids 5-11years old, always hungry even on the hook. The current one looks OK...but Admiral has requested new one.

There is a old saying in the Navy. "Happy Admiral, happy Captain". Sure works well on my boat.

Winter would be a good time to take it out and have it inspected for repair. Sure looks serviceable and replacement will cost your $1100 or more. Ask her what she thinks about that? (mine would say go get a new one, you are too busy to fool with that stuff!)

(She says get a new one) It is serviceable, I can cook anything stovetop, replacing this will hardly make a difference. This is $1100 for a cosmetic preference...yes, happy wife, happy life. I love my sailboat and want to have good vibes down below.
