Our 1979 Cat 30, "Purrin" has a leaky foot pump for fresh water to the galley sink. The starboard tank empties through the leak in about a day. The pump was installed without access to all the screws holding it in place. Do I need to cut a hole in the fiberglass under the sink/ above the pump to access it? Or is there some neat trick to gaining access?

Foot Pump Location

On my 81 C30 the foot pump is mounted directly under the sink with the screw heads exposed through the fiberglass just above the pump lever. To gain better access to the actual pump you can pull the aft engine cover that acts as a partial shelf under the sink. then you have access from under the sink as well as a long reach aft from the engine compartment. Good luck.
