Anyone got any advice on how to replace the element in a Racor 110 fuel filter (like the one in my Beneteau 361) without introducing air into the fuel line? Agaliha

I'd like to know too...

hey agaliha, I'd like to know if you find out. Changing the fuel filters been on my list for a few weeks and still not got around to it... some I know installed a bulb like on outboard gas to pump fuel and others electrical pump but they all bleed the air. here is an article I found. http://www.sailnet.com/forums/318317-post.html if you find a method please post Gaute

Refill the canister

Refill the canister with diesel fuel before you spin it back on. There may be some air remaining in the top but you should be able to crack the bleed nipple on top of the filter to purge it. Mike
