Has anyone replaced the fixed port lights on a 356?
I found a link here to Hunter's instruction that tell you to use an awl to make a small hole at the edge of the lens that 40 wt monofilament can be inserted into and used to work around the lens.
The problem is that the lens has an inch or more seat filed with sealant and the inside cover is attached with the same sealant. There is no way that I can see to make that small hole. I used a sharpened putty knife to brake the seal between the inside cover and lens and all I managed to do is chowder the sealant. The cover didn't move. What was once a small leak is not a larger problem.
Any suggestions?
