Replacing cushions on a 430

We are looking to replace all cushions on our 1995 Hunter Legend 430. Has anyone had any experiences - positive or negative - or suggestions on who can do the job well,or approximately how much this will cost? We have just bought our boat 4 wks ago and are quite amazed at the support HunterOwners.com offers - Thanks to all contributors!

Cushions

If I needed new cushions,I would have them done by someone who is recommended privatly.I am not degrading hunter for they would be great for the job.The colors they have are limited and the length of time is to be considered.Leather is nice but I like the beige fabric that came with my 99 450.

Hunter probably does not make them!

Lynn:Hunter probably does not make these cushions. If you contact them they will sell them to you, but will also tell you who provides them. They can change the patterns and style as required.Don't know why you need need new cushions sooooo sooooon but you may also want to contact US Yacht Cushions in FL. They may be the source for Hunter. Only thing I've heard about them were positive.

Recovering as an option

I have a 1981 hunter 30 I acquired in December. The one thing I did not like about the boat was the late 70's style cushion covers. I took the cushions off the boat to a local (trusted) upholsterer. They recovered everything for a little over $1400. If your cushions are structurally sound then this might be an option for you.

Try US Yact Cushions

Call or e-mail Bob Winkler at US Yacht Cushions in St. Pete FL. They make the cushions for Hunter and should have the patterns for your boat. They just quoted me $1200 to replace all the cushions on my H34.Their number is 727-894-4480 orUSYC@aol.com

Re: your question on replacing cushions soooooo sooooon....boat was in charter and cushions are trashed! Hunter does not have any and I have called US Yacht Cushions - am progressing - thanks
