Heat Exchanger draining
Yes drain cocks. There should be one on the front of the engine 2/3 the way down. Depending on the engine there could be others. I have a H41 that when we came to winterise found the coolant needed to be changed. The Hunter dealer advised against draining completly on the hard as you would have to run the engine for perhaps 45 mins to get all the air out of the system. If your boat is still in the water you could do this. Also easy to find which drain cocks drain the antifreeze you are trying to change and the ones that drain the raw water. Also if you are just adding more without completly draining ensure you use the same type of antifreeze. Yanmar reccomend the longlife( dex-cool,pink) but it is not compatible to mix with the reg. glycol (green) A/FWhere are you docked in Kingston ?
