Hello all
Have always noticed a small amount of coolant around base of filler neck. Radiator cap is new. Wanted to hear from others regarding how difficult it is to replace / any tips..... appears not too difficult. Yanmar 4JH4E.
Thanks!

The filler neck on Yanmar's is VERY particular regarding the cap, I've had several aftermarket caps that would leak slightly due to size of the rubber gasket on the outer seal.

On my 2GM20F, the filler neck has a flange, that is screwed on to the HX. I removed the flange/nozzle, ,and used some “form a gasket” to reseal it. I also replaced my cap, as it seemed like it would leak sometimes.

I don’t have a photo, but can get one this week.

Recently replaced the one on my 4JH2. Pretty straight forward repair, remove the 4 bolts, clean the remnants of the old gasket off and install new part. The Yanmar part came with a new cap. There is a gasket under it, don't forget to buy that. A good time to inspect or replace the overflow hose too.
