Has anyone replaced their cbin sole with new sole plywood? I have some damgae due to age, wear and I want to replace my sole. Did anyone tackle this job on any of the 1980's models?
These things are expensive, but would let you cut the sole out flus with cabinets, bulkheads.Instead of standard ply, there is a product which is 1/4 inch teak and holly bonded to 1/2 marine ply. More expensive..... of course.
Ray, there's a product on the market called PlasTeak. It's a synthetic teak and holly flooring made of vinyl. See the link below. I understand some boats are now coming through with this installed from the factory. I'm going to do it to refurbish my 1981 sole on my '81H33. They sent me a sample and it really looks great! And great non-skid properties.
