Replacing cabin bow access board on Hunter 240

Over the winter it looks like my thru-hulls in the anchor locker of my Hunter 240 failed. I need to replace them, but I think I have found the replacements. The access cover that provides access to the anchor locker has delaminated and I need to replace it. I can probably cut a replacement, but I need to know what would be suggested for the material. Marine plywood painted to match? One of the types of plastic board? Any suggestions are appreciated.

I ended up getting a sheet of dry erase board from Lowes and used Elmers wood glue to laminate it to a couple of pieces of 1/4 exterior plywood and using the old access panel as a template to cut a new one. It didn't match the color exactly, but my two year old granddaughter can now draw pictures on it when she in in the V-berth.
