Replacing C27 cockpit scupper hoses

Can anyone tell me what the inside diameter is for the cockpit scupper hoses on a late eighties C27. The OD on mine is 2". I would like to pick these up before going back to the boat next week and wasn't able to remove one for inspection.

Just an update. Just did a quick search on the 27 .org site and came across a couple of references to a possible ID on these hoses of either 1 1/2" or 1 5/8". Also referenced is a potential difference in the barb sizes for the thru hull fitting and the cockpit fitting. Our's is a 1987, looking for anyone who has replaced these on a late model that can confirm these numbers.

A short follow up to my own post. I completed this repair last week. This was not a difficult job except for the fact that I was face down through the quadrant access panel in the back lazerette. I removed the hose clamps and loosened the hoses with a channel locks. The hoses were original and pretty much petrified, severely cracked and rock hard. I used a battery powered sawsall to make one cut in each hose to remove them. Took them to a local auto parts store and was able to get two flex hoses, 1 1/2" ID about 12" long. I did have to shortened each hose by about an inch. I had remove the threaded barbs for the thru hull fittings to replace the teflon tape.I did not encounter any size difference on the fittings, all accepted a 1 1/2" inside diameter hose. I reinstalled the barbs and then worked the hose onto the cockpit scupper barbs first. Then the hard part. Getting the hose end that attaches to the thru hull fitting required an adequate amount of sweat, swearing and muscle to flex the hose onto the barb. With both reattached I resecured the hose clamps. I did not rebed the cockpit scupper fittings as they did not show any sign of leakage. I probably should have but my vocabulary had become as strained as my stomach muscles. Besides, I have to leave something for the next owner.

I know I'm a bit late and you're already done the job. However, your description of it sounds about right--lots of work while hanging upside down in the quadrant access hatch.

It's one of those boat jobs where you can either get both hands onto the work, but not see it, or you can see it, but can't get more than one hand on it.

I've done it twice on my boat--once after I purchased it, and once just recently. In both cases, it was time, as the hoses become hard, brittle, and eventually crack over time.
