One of the bow chocks on our '80 Hunter 27 pulled out while in the slip over the past few weeks. Must have been quite a blow -- one screw pulled out (leaving about 1/2 inch diameter hole where it had been seated) and shearing the other about 1/4 inch below the bow plate. Debating whether to use some kind of filler in the existing holes and seat new chock in same spot, or filling and relocating the chock a half-inch or inch away for a fresh bite. Suggestions? The plywood board beneath the metal bow plate doesn't seem to have any rot. Also, have been unable to locate exact match for the existing chock -- it's 1 inch by 5 inches with mounting holes spaced 4 inches apart and was painted black. Opening is straight and about 7/8 inch wide. Anyone know of a source?

Bow Chock

I replaced mine recently with new stainless steel chocks around $18 each. They had diferent hole patterns. I used one existing hole and drilled one new hole then filled the unused hole with sealer as well as bedding the chock. The old sealed hole was then underneath the new chock.
