Replacing Bomar Hatch Gasket

The corner of my Bomar hatch has a gasket that's come loose just like the pic below. I'm seeing people say it is and is not necessary to remove the lens to install the new gasket. Or is it possible to simply push the existing one back into place? Looking for advice from those that have dealt with this in the past

Krazy Glue (cyanoacrylate) is perfect for the job. Use sparingly and plan on eventual replacement at some time in the future.

That's the beauty of Krazy Glue. If you're sure can get everything together for a good fit, lightly coat both faces and then jam both surfaces together and they join instantly. No second chances here. Hold it for another 60 seconds and it's not coming off. Leave to dry undisturbed for another 24 hours for 100%strength.

Use sparingly and plan on eventual replacement at some time in the future.
Keep this in mind for that day when you may want to replace the gasket. The more glue you use, the harder the removal will be.

I found a new gasket from the PO of the boat. I'll go ahead and order some sealant in case I need to remove the lens. I'm guessing the hardest part will be either getting the gasket in correctly or getting a good, 90 degree cut on the new material

I have a piece of foam weatherstripping on the hatch at the moment. No signs of water intrusion in the last couple of weeks but I will try to push the existing one back into place.

Thank you for your help and insight on this!
