I40??? Does anyone have experience replacing a Raymarine ST40 depth sounder with an I40? The original on my 2005 Hunter 25' displays nothing. Is the ST40's transducer compatible with the newer i40 display? Any wiring tips? My owners manual does not contain any diagrams for the systems wiring. I also have an ST40 speed that still functions. Any advice/knowledge sabers is appreciated! Has anyone ever sent a Raymarine instrument back to Raymarine for troubleshooting?

the ST 40 depth and speed transducers will work with the new i40 heads. you can save some binical space with the i40 tridata head too as it reads and displays both depth and speed (and water temp too hence tridata). The i40 manual has all the wiring and is a snap to transfer the units unless you are thinking of mounting in a different location from the old heads. Just unplug the old and plug in to the new head.

Thanks Bill. The head is installed next to the companionway so binnacle space is not an issue. I'm saving that space for a future chart plotter.
