I have a B281 that has the stock Z Spar genoa roller system. The gray piece of plastic that forms the top of the unit is broken (about a third is missing - don't know how it broke, but it was like that when I bought the boat 2 years ago). The line fouls easily on it, and it may be time to get this replaced. Hoping to upgrade, since even when the line doesn't get caught I often have to coax the line to coil nicely around the drum. Not exactly the smoothest operation. Has anyone upgraded their 281's roller furler, and do you have a recommendation for a brand/model? Probably will do this when I haul out at the end of the summer to paint the bottom.
Thanks!

I put a Harken system on a Hunter 28.5 that I owned a while back. Excellent furler. Much better than the ProFurl that came with my B31.

Use a halyard restrainer above the halyard swivel.
