While out for a short but exciting sail in 10 - 20 kt.winds (according to forecast) on the Sakonnet River in RI on 8/24 in my Catalina 22 built in 1986)the rudder blade snapped in two pieces while on a tight tack. I relied on my "Iron Jenny" to get me home. The next day, I was told by the local catalina dealer that some moisture had gotten in where the bolt goes through the blade and over time it had undermined the strenght of the plywood core. Now I'm looking for a replacement rudder so I can finish out the season. The local dealer said they'd call the Catalina Co. in CA to see if they could supply one but couldn't make any promises or even estimate cost. I'd rather not pay top dollar anyhow. Any ideas on how to get a replacement fairly cheaply and quickly?Signed,Rudderless
