Replacement Windows

Many sources

There are many sources for info on window replacement. You might research back issues of "Good Old Boat", it is just the kind of thing they cover. If you have an E29 owner's manual I think it shows a sectional view of the window assembly. If not let me know and I will send you a copy. As for materials I have put in a link to a forum that discusses that issue.

port replacement

mike your in for a treat!!! we have a 38 82model we took out and had the original ports sand blasted and painted with industrial paint. we replaced the glass with lexan 1/4 inch with a green tint. after a little work we finally figured out the easy way of removal. there are several ways we used a utillity knife and cut the cauking and slowly. the only other way is to take a thin peice of wire and make a hole and work the wire from the inside out have a piece of wood on each side to wrap the wire around. make shure the port is sealed with sealent around the port and alot of rags and thinner to clean the excess cauking when you thighten the bolts up. i hope this helps you out i will be leaving town next week to help the victims of katrina.but i will try to chech mail when i can. good luck tim&deninse
