For my Mark 1 Vega I ordered the following: FS73 Chrome Filler Strip x 10 metres Door Seals, Rubber Seals, Rubber Extrusions, Window Rubbers UK | Seals Direct Window Section 5mm x 5mm  x  10 Metres  Door Seals, Rubber Seals, Rubber Extrusions, Window Rubbers UK | Seals Direct made my own tool .. maybe not the best decision..There’s a ‘knack’ to it .. the first window took perhaps an hour or more to do, the second only 20 minutes.It was hard work, but I’m very pleased with the result.I still have a few feet of rubber left over, I didn’t want to take a chance.

I found when fitting rubber sealing strips for windows that
persuading the strips to conform to the extreme curvature at the
four "corners" of the windows was difficult even with an assistant
to hold the window glass in place from the inside.

Almost impossible without!

The tool did make fitting the sealing strip quite easy.

 Can you give a bit more detail about the can of slicon spray? I am happy with my windows, just a bit leak on here and there. A can of miracle(cheap:)) spray may satisfy my need.

I liberally applied 303 UV protectant to my window gaskets and the very minor leak stopped leaking.The stuff on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/303-30306-Protectant-Plastic-Fiberglass/dp/B000XBCURWMight have just been a coincidence. Hi Gordon,I changed the window seals 3 years ago. It works until this summer. Now I find them a little bit more rigid than before and experienced some leaking again :(I repaired it with some silicone glue but I am not full satisfied. Hi Gordon,I changed the window seals 3 years ago. I ordered the new ones from England, from Steve Birch.The seals worked fine for 3 years but last summer I experienced some leaking again. The seals became harder and I find some shrinking. I could repair them with some silicone but I'm not fully satisfied.Now i think that the aluminium frames must be better, but the price of them is very high. If I could find a set for a reasonable price I would change the seals.Karoly
