Replacement Vent - Hatch Cover

Hello,
I have a 71 Irwin 25' with a companionway hatch cover vent that needs replacing. I can't seem to find a replacement for this thing...everything is too small. Does anyone have a source for anything that can cover the hole left behind by this thing (photo attached)?
Old vent is 11 inches overall with an 8 inch hole in the boat. Any old vent will work, plastic, cowl, solar, anything.

I get yelled at for simple answers but you may have to build one. Dorade box and cowl vent seem like the way to go.

Glass over the hole and install a Nicro Solar vent in its place.

How about the Beckson round opening port? 8.5 inch cutout, though.

Thanks everyone. Looks like working with the existing hole gives me a few difficult options-- stick build a vent, the Beckson round port (might fit), or glass over it and start over. This is the start of long list of irreplaceable boat parts. Thanks again.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. Actually, I had it on the transom of my B235 to replace the non-opening portlight. It opened inwards. On the outside I placed a plastic (8.5-inch?) piling cap that I cut away almost the bottom half of the pointy part. It was like an awning.

Yes, but I believe the OP is looking to put this on the companionway hatch, a horizontal surface, and opening it will allow rain in... :naughty:
