One of the long exterior teak strips located above the cabin windows broke in half while attempting to remove them for cleaning. Does anyone know where I can get replacements?

I don't know if that's the technical name but it sounds about right. Have you tried Catalina to see if they have a source? You might also to a search on Google for marine teak dealers. I've seen a catalog but don't have a clue how to find them. I'll assume you've already tried putting it back together...Good luck. LaDonna

Also check marine catalogues....

I have seem teak trim moldings and battens offered in both the Boat/US and West Marine catalogues. If Catalina doesn't stock the part, try the chandleries.

Delete the teak

One of the first things we did to our 30 was remove teak deck strips and patch the holes with fiberglass and gelcoat. This was probably easier than one sanding and varnish job to renovate the strips. For a time we considered replacing the teak with plastic pinstriping but decided cleaner looked better. As with modern cars and boats, gaudy trim is out. We're actually so pleased with the cleaner look we're also considering changing from teak to stainless grabrails.
