Replacement stern bearing housing

Hi folks, I'm located in Australia and have started the process of installing a new inboard into my boat. Previously it has had the original inboard removed and the end of the stern tube glassed over. After grounding off the fibreglass over the end of the tube, it looks (to me) like the original stern bearing housing has been cut off flush with the trailing edge of the keel.

This leaves me looking for a suitable replacement stern bearing housing (and bearing) to retrofit to the boat (which is a series 1 Vega, by the way). Can anyone suggest a suitable part and source. Thanks heaps.

Hey many thanks guys.

Peter, that is exactly what I was looking for! Just have to track one down
now.

Goldwin, I appreciate the installation tips for the system. fortunately the
stern tube is still in place, as are the original engine beds - it's just
the stern bearing that was cut off, then the end of a broom handle was
stuffed in the hole and then the whole shooting match was covered in a layer
or two of glass.

Thanks again - Jeff.

Glad to have been of help, Jeff.
A further note: The Vega stern tube is at a bit of an angle (to port, if memory serves me) so that it misses the rudder shaft and compensates a bit for prop walk.
