Thanks Mark

I really appreciate the info. In your list of travels you forgot to include the trip down the St Johns River from Sanford to Mayport. All that distance added up is a significant achievement for any sailor, more so when you consider the size of the boat. "Lesismor" was definitely the right name. Fair winds and continued happy sailing. Peter H23 "Raven"

My H23 main hatch finally gave up the ghost today. Mark, if you're there...about a year ago, you indicated that you had a source for replacement plexiglass for the H23 main hatch. If you still have that info, please e-mail me via my owner profile at HOW. Thanks in advance. Peter H23 "Raven"

Can you post the info on the forum?

Mark, it would be great if you would post the plexiglass hatch info here on the forum. Thanks.

Try Speedy Auto glass etc.

Peter, When we were on our runaway from home trip we had a friend that had to replace the lexan on a hatch on his 38' cat. He somple took it to speedy Auto Glass down in the Keys and had them install a new center glass. It was plexiglass rather than Lexan but fit perfectly, was finished very cleanly and only cost $45. Maybe this might help. Ray

Replacement Lexan Hatch

Peter, at the request of others I'll post it here: Accurate Plastics, 266 Park Ave., Longwood 407-260-7195. They had a sheet laying around and when I bought mine they informed me that this particular shade/grade is no longer manufactured. It's been a year, so I wish you luck in acquiring it. Otherwise, they do have other grades of Lexan close to what came with the boat. Mine cost around $95. As far as sailing, I've logged a few miles this year. Last spring I did the south Florida circumnavigation: Lake Okeechobee, west to the Gulf, down around through Fla Bay, then back up the Atlantic ICW to the Stuart canal back to Okeechobee. I took two weeks, but it involved 11 days of sailing with stop overs at some favorite spots. A couple of weeks ago I did the Big Bend, from Tarpon Springs to St. Marks, in four days. I can now proudly say I've sailed all of the Florida Gulf coast from Pensacola to the Dry Tortugas, all of the ICW, and all of the outside, and the length of the Keys (all single handed except the Tortugas trip). Now I'm working on the Atlantic coast, and have the southern ICW logged so far. Lesismor is needing some serious work on finish, but...after this season, for sure. Fair winds, Mark Major
