One of the "ears" on the frame for the opening port over the icebox is broken. As a result I can't sufficiently tighten the port on that side. When it rains it leaks. Since that seems to be the only problem I was thinking that replacing just the inside frame may be the best solution. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement frame?

Pompanette

They are in Florida and can be found on the net. You'll need to measure the window frame so that they can send the correct sized opening portion. I think it was about $40. ~ Happy sails to you ~ _/) ~

Does anybody know the model # for that port? I need to replace mine too. Thanks.

inside frame is basic port

The outside part is the trim ring - unless you mean only the lens. Replacement lenses are available. Otherwise the port needs to go. (Or you could build up the broken part out of epoxy...) Replacing the ports is not bad. I replaced 6 on my '79 37 cutter last month. The only problem is that the drains have moved - so you need to fill in the old drain cut-out and cut-out new cut-outs. Not hard, but I went slow and so had to do a couple of passes at the cut-outs. Filling in is easy - use masking tape, as the epoxy will not bond to the glue, and fill in using epoxy with a bit of silica filler. I also sealed the entire cut-out for the port with epoxy, as Hunter had not done this. I had some rot to dig out and fix.
