During our spring haul-out I want to replace the original Stowe Depth, Speed, and Wind instruments on Our 85 H37C. I am interested in the Raytheon ST-60 instruments that I saw last year on another boat. Would appreciate any advice on the easiest replacement model. Thanks

Richard, I replaced the Stowe on my Legend 37 with ST-60's in August. Love the new instruments. The replacement was fairly easy. You will have to replace the thru-hulls for the knot and depth as well as all the cables. Good luck, Bob s/v Slow Dance

Instrument Replacement

I replaced my instruments after a lightning strike nuked all my electronics. Used the Horizon 100 (also sold under the West Marine and Boat US brands) and really like the larger display. The Speed thru-hull needed to be replaced, but my old depth thru hull works just fine. WHILE YOU'RE at it; reroute the wiring out of the compression post! (I think that's how my instruments got nuked in the first place.) I reran the wires through the bilge and up to the electrical panel, then to the headliner; rather than up through the compression post to the headliner. s/v Janice Leigh Legend 37
