I'd like to replace the puny compact-bowl PAR head with one of more reasonable bowl size. The Raritan Atlantes seems to be the best think around but is impossible to install on the shallow platform on the Hunter 430. Is there another good choice that has the same small footprint as the PAR, or must I just go for the larger size model of this head? Thanks.

Why not just replace the bowl?

OTOH, if the head is old and needs work, I'd replace the whole thing. I love the Atlantes, but it does have a large footprint. Take a look at the Raritan Crown II. It has a smaller footprint and is available with a fresh water solenoid or a remote seawater pump, either of which make for very quiet operation and low water use. You might also look into building a slightly larger platform for the head to sit on.
