Our Morgan 41' has a Perkins 4.154 and the coolant over-temp sensor has a terminal broken off. It trips at 200 F, has 2 terminals, and the rest of the body is about 3/4" long. It is a 1/2 npt thread. Stamped on the part is "Elmwood", "3000-", "56-25", "F200", and "98/02".

Does anyone have a lead on where to get this replacement or equivalent part? I have tried auto parts stores, diesel shops, West Marine, etc. and no one seems to know.
Please see picture for reference.
Many thanks!

To replace this, you need to match 3 things

- bushing size and thread (if most available sensors have a smaller bushing, you might be able to buy an adaptor)
- temperature (200F)
- action (does it close above 200, or does it open above 200? The shop manual or electrical schematic should make this clear)

One last-ditch option is to solder a wire to the broken stub. This may work now, but wont be dependable in the long run.

Good luck!
