A word of caution. Azek is not to be used structurally. A 1" thick piece can span 16". Since you used 1/2" thick material, there is a chance that it can fail if someone steps on it. Your span looks to be less than 16" but you are using material of half the recommended thickness. Otherwise it visually it seems to meet your objective and it's maintenance free.

SFS....Ran out this AM to check... nope, not a defect.. it was a thread of the fascia that was created when I drilled. Cleaned it and piece is now pristine. Thanks for the Eagle Eye. -Jon

Glad it worked out. Hope I didn't panic you. It was the high quality of the picture that let me spot it.

We have recently replaced all the flooring in a condo that has a lot of natural light, so I've been in that "mode", looking closely at pieces of raw material for defects.
