Hi. I see that u r looking for a new engime for your O27. My dad owns a 1984 O28 and he has a 10 horse universal deisel and it is just the perfect size to push your boat at about 5 knots goung in and out of port. I reccomend anywhere between a 10-15 hoarse DEISEL INBOARD. BUT KEEP AWAY FROM THOSE ATROCOUS OMC SAIL DRIVES!!! They are noisy, stall, hard-to-start, and frequently slip out of gear.
