I have an O'Day 23 and I'm toying with replacing the deck blocks with a sail track on the mid-ships toe-rail. My boat came with a sail track on the stern toe-rail that I use for my 135. I keep tripping on the deck blocks and now they've started to leak so I'm thinking of removing them in favor of the toe rail tracks. Has anyone done this? Can you curve the straight sections you find at the store, or do you have to buy them curved? If so, where from?

Thanks!

I think the disadvantage is that you're moving the sheeting angle outboard.

I'm thinking of doing this on my Oday 25. Ideally would want to keep the track close to the toe rail, but this area is concealed underneath by the curvature of the headliner -- not sure if your Oday 23 is similar. So it will probably go right where the mid-deck block is located. You will want to make sure you use a backing plate, not just fender washers.
