The fixed ports on my '85 H31 have a few leaks. I'm considering replacement. Has anyone done this? What's the process? Tim

just dis one

I had one made at TAPCO plastics. $32 for having them duplicate the one I took off. I then cleaned off all the old caulk. Taped the edges to keep the new caulk off of the fiberglass. After I laid down several beads of caulk I spread the caulk against the cabin. I then placed 4 pieces of welding rod into the screw holes it was easier to align the port directly in to position I then replaced the screws be sure to tighten enough to get good contact with the caulk but not so tight to squeeze to much of the caulk you need to bed the window well I then ran a bead around the out side and smoothed it and then removed the tape to leave a nice straight edge

Tim: Mark Plastics in Southern Cal. makes direct replacements. They are suppose to be better than the original. I do not have his number handy but can look it up tomorrow. You should be able to find it in the archives too.
