I have a Ray C120w where the rubber membrane behind the malfunction knob has deteriorated. Ray says it must be sent in to replace the whole control !
It happened last winter in the Bahamas. I covered it up with duct tape to hold it together. It was usable like that, except the outer ring could not be rotated.
Has anyone else had this experience ? How was it repaired ? I'm thinking about gluing an annular ring of thin rubber like material between the two parts to replace the missing material. Any suggestions on what to use ?
