Repair info for fuel tank and engine temp guage

I recently purchased a 1981 Catalina 30. The engine temp guage is does not not work; neither does the fuel guage.How can I obtain specifications for the fuel tank and guage, and temperature guage to help me make my repair efforts efficient? first check the wiring to make sure the....

connections are clean and tight. When I bought my Newport, the same gauges did not work. Connections and wiring were fine, so I replaced the sending units on both the temp gauge and fuel tank and the problem was solved. Easy job and inexpensive. West Marine had both parts in stock. Good Luck!

Parts manual

Do you have your engine's parts manual?If not contact an engine dealer like Hansen Marine. The manual will show how it should be wired and what the parts are that might be suspect.
