My H23 in the past (prior owner) was partially filled with water in the yard when the cockpit drain hose had been punctured. This caused the lower section of interior teak trim (what was below the water line) to blacken, and I believe also caused peeling of the white epoxy (or whatever it is) coating on the inner side of the hull. This peeling is under the cockpit, in the lazarette. I am guessing that freezing occurred, and it cracked the white coating. Thin sheets have peeled away, and of course the exposed glassed matte is kind of dirty.
Is this something I need to remedy, or is that epoxy just for cosmetic purposes? If I do need (or want) to recoat, what product is recommended?
Thanks, Peter
