For those of you on the west (wet) coast, the rendezvous has been announced
in this month's Pacific Yachting magazine. Hopefully we will reach all the
Vega owners in the neighbourhood.

Hello VEGAtarians:

Just a last minute reminder that the rendezvous is taking place this weekend
at Lopez Island Marina. Hope to see all of you who attended last year as
well as the new faces that have been communicating via this chat site.
Remember pot-luck dinner on Saturday night. Diana and I will be catching
the tide tomorrow (Thursday) at about noon. We're spending the night at
Cabbage Island at the southern end of Saturna. On Friday we will depart for
Friday Harbour to clear customs and hopefully arrive Friday evening at
Lopez. If your out there Gene...are you going to Nanaimo for baseball? If so
perhaps we can meet when we make our way back to BC. We will have to clear
at Bedwell Bay so hopefully we can cross each others path as we proceed
north.

Chuck,

I think, perhaps, everyone is lying low because they don't want to get
roped into organizing it. I'm definitely interested in going as is
another boat here in Nanaimo. But I really think someone who has been
to one of the previous rendezvous' at Port Browning should take it on
for this year, at least, as they have first hand experience in the
goings on. Just my thoughts. Maybe there isn't enough interest this
year.

If there is enough interest,I can do the organizing but I need to know pretty soon.

Is Port Browning good, or would you prefer someplace diferent,like Lopez island on the American side? How many will plan to attend at either location?

Thanks Jim,

Pretty much any date will work for us as long as it is after mid July. August 5,6,7 would be just right. I'm waiting for a decision from my boss on somthing rather crucial and I may not get my answer until June. Either way though, Laura and I will be there.
