Is there a right hand and left hand rotation cone? Works fine clock wise will not work counter clock wise. its a Rc8d Renault engine with transmission.
The engine rotation is anticlockwise as observed from the rear of the engine. If you are using the front as a point of reference then it will be clockwise. The French have a tendency to do things backwards so it pays to look. http://www.imout.nl/images/voortstuwing/moteurRC8D.pdf
