Find a used Renault!

Gary: You are not going to find anything CHEAP. A rebuilt Atomic 4 gas is about $4k. You need to plan on $5k + for any time of new diesel. My suggestion is to try to find a used Renault and you can just drop in, align and go.

Mack Boring, Torrenson

Look for a used diesel, preferably a Yanmar. Check with Mack Boring or Torrensen Marine. Also under Sailnet used gear for sail. They are out there, especially one lunger since a lot of people move up to two cylinders. Other alternative is to hang an outboard off the back.

Gear Here forum?

There are a couple of options in the Gear Here forum under Boats for Sale. But, as Steve points out, there should be a few Renaults around from people upgrading.

Used RC8D

I might have a Renault RC8D for sale in a month or so. It's 22 years old but was only used a few months each summer and for 18 years it was in fresh water. It is hard to get it back into neurtal after running for about 40 minutes and the stop pull needs a adjustment. Has a new SS exhault pipe installed last year and a few impellers. It's on Cape Cod at present.

Gary, I will let you know as soon as I can. Had the Renault running today and everything was fine.
