Just a note to those of us with Hunter 27s with Renault RC8 engines: After some searching I found what appears to be a good source for spare parts - Waterway Marine in Annapolis MD, web site: http://www.waterwaymarine.com/ They are the domestic distributor to Nanni Marine, the folks who took over Renault Marine in 1984. They were able to procure the bushings, bearings and seals I required to rebuild my 1980 Renault transmission. Great feeling hearing it rev up again after it seized earlier this summer. They are more of a wholesaler than retailer, so I simply worked through my homeport marina to handle payment. Parts were ordered from Nanni in France and took about 3 weeks to get to my door. Dan

RC8D Transmission

Dan, Good news you found a local supplier of RC8D engine and transmission parts! I have used http://www.renaultcouach.com/ to get an exhaust elbow. I'm really interested in knowing how you went about rebuilding your RC8D transmission. Mine suffers from "slipping" at times and I've had limited luck with adjusting the linkage. I figured RC8D transmission parts were unavailable ... transmission was essentially junk when it finally fails. Eric Griesinger e.griesinger@verizon.net
